About Our Group
Our mission, as the Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage Group, is to preserve the language and way of life of the Pennsylvania Dutch.
REGULAR MEETINGS- On the third Saturday of each month, we meet at Providence Place, 3377 Fox Run Road, Dover PA. These meetings begin at 1PM and end at 3:30PM. At usual meetings, a short business meeting is conducted, followed by a different "show-and-tell" each month. Afterword, the last hour is a dialect section where members work on reading and speaking PA Dutch selections. Besides our monthly meetings, other special events are conducted at various locations throughout York. See the "Calendar" section for more.
PRESS- In June 2017, the York Dispatch met with secretary and long-time member Rachael Gromling to discuss our group. You can read the article here: www.yorkdispatch.com/story/news/local/2017/06/01/keeping-pa-dutch-alive-fate-relies-new-speakers/102233546/ |
